Why this is a cost question
A half-day shoot should cost you half a day, not all of it.
Commercial work is booked by people who have to justify it, and the hidden cost is rarely the photography.
It is the disruption. A shoot in a working office means desks cleared, staff pulled away, meetings moved and a room out of action — and every hour of setup and travel on the photographer's side lands somewhere on your schedule as well as ours.
Working with someone based nearby compresses that. Setup can start early without a pre-dawn departure, a shoot can genuinely finish at lunch, and a follow-up visit for the two frames that did not work is a short errand rather than a renegotiation.
It also makes the pre-shoot visit realistic. Half an hour walking the space beforehand — seeing which meeting room has the good light, which wall is a mess by mid-afternoon — saves more time on the day than any amount of planning by email.
The pre-visit is the part that proximity actually unlocks. Half an hour looking at a space before the shoot day changes the schedule, the equipment and sometimes the entire approach, and it only happens when it costs almost nothing to arrange.
There is also the follow-up. Commercial work generates a request for two more frames more often than not, and being close by turns that into a short return visit rather than a negotiation about whether it justifies another booking.
Getting ready
Before the shoot day
Decide who is the point of contact and make sure they will be available on the day. Most delays on commercial shoots come from a decision needing someone who is in a meeting.
Tidy what will be in shot and nothing else. A whole-office clean is wasted effort; the two corners we will actually photograph matter enormously. A short pre-visit tells you which those are.
And brief anyone who will be photographed. People who know it is happening turn up dressed for it, and people who do not are visibly the ones who did not know.

What we establish first
What the images are for, always. Website, recruitment, a deck, a press release — each wants something different from the same office, and shooting one brief well beats attempting all four.
Then whether the space is usable. Half an hour walking the premises beforehand — which room has the good light, which wall is chaos by mid-afternoon, what genuinely should not be in shot — saves more time on the day than any amount of email. Being nearby is what makes that visit realistic rather than an imposition.
And what your timeline is. A shoot with three weeks is planned differently from one with three days, and we would rather tell you honestly which we are working with.

Do you shoot at our office or at your studio?
Either, and often both. Workspace and team photographs have to happen where you are; products and controlled setups are usually better here.
Can you visit before the shoot to see the space?
Yes, and for anything involving your premises we would recommend it. It is a short visit that makes the shoot day considerably shorter.
How much disruption should we expect?
Less if we plan it. Tell us which areas are busy when, and we will build the running order around your day instead of asking you to build your day around us.
Do you handle brand and campaign work as well as workspace photography?
Yes. Tell us what the images are for — website, campaign, recruitment, investor material — because the brief changes what we shoot far more than the subject does.
Which business areas do you cover?
The Nagar Road and Kharadi office corridor is closest, along with Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar, Yerawada and Magarpatta. We shoot commercial work across Pune, but this stretch is where a same-week visit or a quick reshoot is genuinely straightforward.

Can you shoot team photographs and workspace in one visit?
Usually yes. It is the sensible way to do it, and it needs about an hour more than either on its own.
What if we need more images a few weeks later?
Straightforward when we are nearby. Matching the original lighting and treatment is easier than starting again, so tell us it is coming and we will note the setup.
Can you photograph our staff without making it look staged?
Yes, and it mostly depends on giving people something real to do. Posed photographs of people pretending to work are visible from a long way off.
Do you shoot exteriors and signage as well?
Yes, and those want a specific time of day. Mention them at booking so the schedule accounts for the light rather than fitting them in at the end.
Can we licence the images for a campaign?
Tell us the intended use at the outset. Usage affects what we shoot as much as what you receive, and it is far simpler agreed upfront.
Do you photograph company events as well as workspaces?
Yes, and booking them together helps. A consistent look across your event and workspace images makes a website read as one piece rather than several.
