Why this one is about the clock
A headshot takes half an hour. It should not cost you an afternoon.
The photography here is genuinely quick. What stops people booking it is everything around the photography.
A professional headshot is one of the few sessions where the shoot is shorter than the average commute to it. Thirty minutes in front of a light, a handful of expressions, done — and then an hour and a half of travelling either side, which is why so many people put it off for years.
Working in the Nagar Road or Kharadi office corridor changes that arithmetic completely. The studio is close enough that a headshot fits into a long lunch break rather than requiring a half day of leave, and that is usually the difference between booking it and continuing to use a cropped wedding photograph on LinkedIn.
The same applies to teams. Bringing six colleagues in over a morning is a reasonable ask when the studio is nearby; it becomes a scheduling project when it is not. We can also come to the office if that is simpler.
The repeat case matters more than the first booking. People change roles, companies rebrand, and a profile photograph that is four years old starts working against you. A studio nearby is one you actually go back to rather than one you keep meaning to.
And it makes the awkward requests easy. A single replacement headshot for one new joiner is a trivial booking when the studio is close and an uneconomic one when it is not, which is why team pages so often end up with one person photographed differently from everyone else.

Half an hour, prepared properly
Bring two or three options to wear rather than one. Clothing carries more of the character of a portrait than anything else available to us, and having choices on hand costs nothing while having only one option can cost the session.
Think about what the photograph needs to say before you arrive. Approachable, senior, technical, creative — these are produced by different lighting and different framing, and deciding in the room wastes the short time a portrait session has.
If it is for a specific platform or document with rules about background, framing or proportions, bring those rules. Discovering them afterwards means doing the whole thing again.
Planning it
Working out what to shoot
The first question is what the portrait is for, because a company page, a speaking profile, a personal portfolio and a formal document all want different things from the same face.
The second is whether this is one person or several. Teams need consistency more than individual brilliance, and a set shot across two different sessions rarely matches unless it was planned to.
The third is where. The studio gives control and takes half an hour; your office adds context and takes longer. Being close by means either is easy to arrange, so the choice can be made on what suits the photograph rather than on logistics.

How long does a headshot session take?
Less time than most people expect. The photography is short; the useful part is a few minutes at the start working out what you actually want it to say about you.
What should I wear for a professional headshot?
Something you already wear to work and feel comfortable in. Solid colours sit better than busy patterns, and bring a second option if you are unsure.
Can you photograph our whole team?
Yes, either here or at your office. Consistency matters for a team set — same light, same background, same treatment — so it is worth doing them together rather than piecemeal.
Do you do personal portraits as well as corporate ones?
Yes. Not every portrait is for a company profile, and a session for its own sake is a different and usually more relaxed brief.
Which offices are close enough for a lunch-break session?
The Nagar Road and Kharadi corridor, plus Viman Nagar, Kalyani Nagar, Yerawada and Wadgaon Sheri. If your office is further out, we can come to you instead - for a team set that is usually the better answer anyway.
How long should I allow?
Less than you think for the photography, and a few minutes at the start to establish what the portrait is meant to convey. That short conversation does most of the work.
Can you come to our office instead?
Yes, and for a team it is usually simpler — we set up in a meeting room and work through people between their commitments.
I have never had a professional portrait taken and find it uncomfortable.
Most people do. It is handled with direction rather than encouragement, and it is a short session by design.
Can I have a formal and an informal version from one sitting?
Usually yes, if we know at the start. It is a change of clothing and a change of lighting rather than a second session.
Can I bring more than one outfit?
Please do. Two or three options gives the session somewhere to go, and clothing changes the register of a portrait more than anything else available.
Do you retouch portraits?
Lightly by default. Tell us your preference — some people want essentially none, and heavy retouching is the most common complaint about portraits taken elsewhere.
Can we do headshots for several people on the same day?
Yes, and consistency across a team is easier when they are shot together. Send the number and we will tell you how long to allow.
Do you photograph headshots against a plain background or on location?
Either. Plain is simpler and travels better across a team page; on location adds context. Tell us where the photograph will sit and we will suggest one.
