Product Photography in Viman Nagar, Pune

Catalogue, e-commerce and social product photography at our studio in Wadgaon Sheri. For businesses around Viman Nagar and Kharadi, the practical detail is that your stock does not have far to travel.

The logistics nobody mentions

Product photography has a physical problem: the products have to get here.

Every other kind of shoot involves people, who can arrange themselves. This one involves objects, which cannot.

Stock has to be packed, transported, unpacked, photographed, repacked and returned — often fragile, often the only samples that exist, and usually needed back on a shelf quickly. That round trip is a real cost and it is entirely a function of distance.

For a business in the Viman Nagar or Kharadi area it becomes a short errand instead. Drop the products off, collect them when the shoot is done, and if a shot is wrong or a variant is missing, sending one more item over is trivial rather than another logistics exercise.

It changes how the work runs, too. Being able to see a first set of frames and then adjust — a different angle, a colour swapped, one more variant added — is realistic when the products are nearby and awkward when they are not.

The ongoing arrangement is where this really pays. Businesses nearby tend to send products in small batches as they launch rather than saving up for one large shoot, and the resulting catalogue is more consistent because everything was shot the same way in the same setup.

It also makes the correction cheap. A variant photographed in the wrong colourway or an angle that turns out not to work on the listing page is a small errand to fix rather than a decision about whether it is worth the trouble.

Getting ready

Getting the products ready

Send everything clean, unboxed and in the condition you want photographed. Fingerprints, dust and packaging creases all show at close range, and cleaning at our end costs session time that could have gone on the photography.

Include every variant you want covered, not a representative sample. Colours and sizes that arrive later have to be shot separately and lit to match, which is more work than doing them together.

And label anything that is not obvious. Which is the front, which finish is which, what should not be shown — a few notes with the delivery prevents an entire set being reshot for a reason nobody could have known.

Planning it

Scoping the shoot

We will ask how many items and how many angles each. That combination decides the length of the session more than any other factor, and a rough count is enough to give you a real answer.

We will ask where the images are going. A marketplace listing, your own website, a printed card and a social feed each want different crops and different backgrounds, and knowing in advance avoids reshooting for format.

And we will ask whether this is a one-off or the start of something ongoing. Being nearby makes a rolling arrangement practical — new products photographed as they arrive, matched to the existing set — which is usually cheaper and always more consistent than periodic catch-ups.

How do we get our products to you?

Drop them off or arrange a courier, whichever suits. Tell us how many items and how fragile they are and we will agree the handover before anything moves.

How many products can you photograph in a session?

It depends entirely on how many angles each one needs and how much styling is involved. Send us the list and we will tell you honestly what fits.

Do you shoot on white backgrounds for marketplaces?

Yes — marketplace listings have their own requirements and it is worth telling us which platform you are selling on before the shoot rather than after.

What if we need extra shots afterwards?

Much easier if the products are still nearby. Tell us what is missing and we will add it rather than starting again.

Which areas do businesses drop products off from?

Viman Nagar, Kharadi, Wadgaon Sheri, Chandan Nagar and Kalyani Nagar, plus the businesses along Nagar Road. If you are further out, a courier works fine - it just makes adding a missed shot slower than it needs to be.

How do we get products to you?

Drop them off or courier them, whichever suits. From this side of the city a drop-off is usually simpler, and it makes adding a missed item straightforward rather than a second logistics exercise.

Can you photograph products at our premises instead?

Sometimes, depending on what they are and what the images need to look like. Tell us and we will say honestly which would produce better results.

What if we need more angles later?

Easier while the products are still here, which is the argument for over-shooting slightly. If they have gone back, we can match the setup again, but it is more work.

Do you do lifestyle product photographs as well as plain backgrounds?

Yes, and they are different jobs with different preparation. Tell us which you need, or both, and we will plan the session accordingly.

Can you photograph products on a model?

That is a different shoot with different planning. Tell us what you need and we will say honestly what it would involve rather than folding it into a product session.

Do you provide props and styling?

Tell us what you have in mind when you book and we will confirm what is included. Styling changes the length of a session considerably, so it is worth agreeing first.

How are the finished images delivered?

In the formats you need for where they are going. Tell us the platform beforehand and the files arrive ready rather than needing reprocessing.

Can you photograph products for print as well as web?

Yes, and print needs to be specified beforehand because the requirements differ. Tell us at booking and both come out of one session.
