Product Photography in Pune

Product photography is a technical job. Colour has to be accurate, the background has to be consistent across the whole range, and marketplaces have their own requirements. We shoot to those constraints so images go live without being reworked.

Marketplace requirements, met first time

Every marketplace has its own rules — background, aspect ratio, how much of the frame the product must fill, minimum resolution — and images that miss them get rejected or quietly buried.

Tell us where the images are going before the shoot rather than after. Shooting to Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify or your own site is a decision made at the camera, not something that can be rescued later without cropping into detail you paid for.

Lifestyle and in-context images are worth planning at the same time. The plain-background frames sell the product on a listing page; the in-use frames are what fill the advertisements, the emails and the social posts, and shooting both together costs far less than arranging a second session for them.

Colour accuracy and why it matters

Colour is the part of product photography with a right answer. A fabric that photographs two shades off is not a stylistic choice. It is a return, a poor review, and a customer who does not order again.

We shoot to get colour right in camera and check it against the actual product rather than against a screen from memory. If a shade is critical, bring the item and say so — some colours, deep reds and certain blues in particular, need more care than others.

Consistency across a full range

A catalogue lives or dies on consistency: the same background, the same angle, the same scale relationship between items, the same light. A grid where every product sits slightly differently looks amateur even when each individual image is good.

So a range is shot as a range, in one setup, in one go where possible. We keep the setup recorded so that additions later match rather than starting a second visual generation of your own catalogue.

Volume, batching and how a session is planned

How many products fit into a session depends almost entirely on how similar they are. Forty near-identical items in one setup is a very different day from eight products that each need their own arrangement.

Send a list with rough sizes, materials and how many angles you need per item, and we will tell you what is realistic. That conversation prevents the most common problem on product jobs, which is a day planned around a number instead of around the work.

Food, packaging and difficult surfaces

Some products are simply harder. Glass, chrome, jewellery and anything highly reflective show the whole room back at the camera and need the lighting built around that. Food has a short window before it stops looking like food.

Neither is a problem, but both change the pace. Flag them when you enquire so the day is planned around the time they need rather than the time an average item takes.

Products that need a model, a hand or a demonstration should be flagged in the same conversation, since those need arranging rather than simply scheduling.

Before you book

Product photography, answered

Straight answers on timing, cost and what you actually receive. Anything else, just ask — we would rather explain it now than have you guess.

How many products can you shoot in a session?

It depends on the products and setups needed. Send a list and we will estimate.

Do you shoot food and packaging?

Yes, both, along with general catalogue work.

What does a product shoot cost in Pune?

It depends on how many products, how many angles for each, and whether you need plain-background catalogue shots or styled lifestyle frames. We do not publish a fixed price because no two are the same. Tell us what you have in mind and we will come back with a clear quote — nothing hidden in the small print.

Will the images meet marketplace requirements?

Yes, if you tell us where they are going before the shoot. Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify and your own site each have rules on background, ratio and resolution, and shooting to them is a decision made at the camera.

How accurate is the colour?

Colour is checked against the actual product rather than from memory on a screen. A fabric two shades off is not a stylistic choice — it is a return and a poor review. Bring the item if a shade is critical.

Can you keep a whole range looking consistent?

Yes. A range is shot as a range, in one setup where possible, and the setup is recorded so later additions match rather than starting a second visual generation of your catalogue.

Do you shoot lifestyle images as well as plain background?

Yes, and planning both together costs far less than a second session. Plain-background frames sell the product on a listing page; in-use frames fill the advertisements, emails and social posts.

Can you photograph jewellery and glass?

Yes. Highly reflective items show the whole room back at the camera and need the lighting built around that, so flag them when you enquire and the day is planned for the time they need.

Do we need to send the products in advance?

Usually yes, so they can be checked and prepared before the day. Tell us how many items and roughly when they will arrive and the schedule is built around it.

Can you shoot on a plain white background for listings?

Yes, and for most marketplaces it is required. Tell us where the images are going and the background, ratio and resolution are shot to those rules rather than corrected afterwards.

How do I choose a product photographer in Pune?

Ask how they handle colour accuracy and whether they shoot to marketplace requirements. A photographer who asks where the images will be listed before quoting understands the job; one who does not will hand you files that need reworking.
